I should really try to do these at the beginning of the month because I have completely forgotten anything that happened in April. But I’ll do my best to remember! It wasn’t particularly eventful, which is probably why I’m struggling to recall anything worth a mention. Most of it I spent off work and doing absolutely nothing, which in fairness was well needed! It was nice to switch off and not have anything I needed to do or anywhere to be.
Let’s get into the tarot and remind ourselves of my card for the month!
VII of Wands
Key Words – Challenge, Competition, Perseverance
VII of Wands indicates challenge and struggle after initial satisfaction and fulfilment. It is a sign to hold your ground and persevere as there are obstacles that you need to overcome in order to succeed and hold your position at the top. There may be competition and you must continue to prove yourself as there are many who desire the same things as you.
This card usually shows a man at the top of a hill with a cloudless sky in the background. His stance is strong and the VII of wands is superior to the wands that may or may not be on the attack. The clear sky shows that though he is alone, his situation isn’t dangerous. He knows his strengths and weaknesses and is assessing the situation in order to maintain his position. The wands suit tends to represent creativity and this card shows a figure who has their own belief system, their own way of doing things and is prepared to defend their unique outlook from others.
I hadn’t encountered any major challenges in April. The only thing I can think of that may relate to this card is stuff that was happening with work. There were issues that were causing a problem with the systems and we were put on hold for about 3 weeks. They gave it to us off paid, but I was frustrated because I wanted to get going and learn the role. When we were up and running I found the new accounts processes are very different to what I am used to. So I had concerns in the way certain things were done. But it was a case of putting in the work to make sure I was ready for live calls.
This card does apply to me, but I’m trying very hard to marry it up with things that happened. This is the only card so far that I’ve been a little… “meh”… about. I’m clutching at straws on this occasion.
May’s reading review is due shortly, so I’ll make sure my memory is better refreshed next time around! Hope you all enjoyed this months reflection.
Until next time ♡
