August Tarot ⋆ Were The Cards Right?

Salutations and greetings to you all! Thanks for coming back for another tarot card catch up. I hope you’re enjoying them as much as I am. It’s always really interesting to reflect on them each month and definitely a series I intend to continue with. It’s been an eye-opener!

My tarot for August was VI of Pentacles, which also often known as the VI of Coins. The Pentacles are a suit that represents the material things in life, such as income or personal possessions and has cropped up several times before this year. The suit was in my “theme of the year” card and also my suit for March.

This tarot card is very often associated with money, and being in harmony with it. A healthy balance between what is coming in and what is going out. But for me, this is very far from the truth. The best depiction I was able to find to represent this card (for me) is as follows:

“The Six of Pentacles is a card that indicates your identification with material wants and needs may be out of balance with who you really are, whether your needs are being met and what you really want anyway.” – keen.com

My Thoughts

We’re still struggling to find the balance between our income, bills and a social life. The prior taking precedence over anything else, as of course it should. My eye is constantly on my bank balance and the stress of waiting for each payday is still a looming presence. I can’t say we are left wanting for anything, as we’re still in a very fortunate position to how we could have been! (thank goodness for insurance). But being hand-to-mouth is growing quite tiresome and we would love to have that tiny bit of flexibility we had before.

Fortunately, that day is coming! And with Christmas around the corner (yes, I said the ‘C’ word) it cannot come at a better time. Hopefully, in the very near future, the burden will be lifted from my shoulders alone and we can return to a dual-income household. The balance will be restored and the scales tipped in our favour.

Until next time ♡

    • In the cards I have, they have examples of readings you can do and also what each card means. When I did my reading for the year I made a note of all of them and follow them up each month. It’s been really fun! x

  1. I love the idea of tarot cards, I’ve always wanted to have a full reading but I’m not entirely sure about my beliefs and opinions on spirituality yet so it’s something I’ve held off on. Maybe diving into it head first would help me to make my decision! Money can be such a tricky thing and I imagine running a household is so flipping hard, luckily I still live with my parents as due to my illness I have barely any income at all! Wishing you lots of luck in your future finances (and I can’t wait for Christmas, haha!)

    • I’ve always been interested, but like you was always unsure on what my actual thoughts and beliefs were. It’s been quite a journey and this has really helped me work things out. It’s definitely worth doing this New Year! x

  2. I think I can agree with you when it comes to money. I’ve been finding it pretty hard to balance it all recently, especially when I’m trying to save for things in the future. I feel like I should be saving it all and I feel guilty every time I buy something for myself. Could you do a post like tarots for dummies as I have zero ideas where to start!
