You know Christmas is looming when the John Lewis advert makes an appearance and advent calendars pop up! And the countdown well and truly begins when you get your hands on one. Chocolate or otherwise.
These have become a pretty big thing amongst the beauty community. It’s no longer restricted to chocolate, sometimes you get confetti and cookie cutters *cough*Zoella*cough*. There are so many to choose from and being a cruelty-free savvy shopper I’ve put together a list of my Top 10. The price varies from anything between £10-£100. So there’s something for everyone and may make a great gift idea for someone you know!
Sleek is one of my all time favourite brands so it’s no wonder their advent calendar is temporarily sold out. This calendar is PACKED with amazing beauty goodies, so if you can get your hands on one I would highly recommend it!
This gem will replenish your entire make-up kit and you are getting a lot for your money, even if it seems expensive. Trust me on that. Their Wonderwand mascara is my desert island makeup must have and this calendar is tied as a favourite for the one I’m going to personally get for myself.
The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Deluxe Beauty Advent Calendar Set – £59.99
The Body Shop have 3 different calendars to choose from – the Beauty, the Deluxe and the Ultimate. My personal choice would be the Beauty Calendar but they are all amazing and stuffed with all sorts of goodies.
They also do a cheeky New Year Countdown for when you have the post Christmas blues!
If you’re after something a little more budget friendly, then the Superdrug Festiive As calendar is right up your street. This is currently on sale on their website for £8.00 which is amazing value!
Makeup Revolution Advent Calendar 2017 – £25.00
This calendar has everything for your eyes, lips and face. This is also tied for top place as the one I’ll be getting, because I love Makeup Revolution – their highlighters are g o r g e o u s. Considering I buy a lot of their products anyway, I know you’re getting way more for you buck with this one.
Bomb Cosmetics Countdown To Christmas Advent Calendar – £19.99
If you’re more of a relax and unwind kinda girl (or guy) then the Bomb Cosmetics little calendar is for you. It’s currently marked down on Amazon to £17.65 with free delivery and has a selection of bath blasters, creamers, soars and mallows for you to enjoy for every night leading up to the big day!
A little pricey.. but it’s LUSH. You know it’s going to be and smell amazing! The LUSH 12 days of Christmas is full of shower gels, bath bombs, bubble bars, soaps, conditioners.. all sorts! If you didn’t want this as a Christmas calendar, it would also make a fantastic gift for the bath lover in your life.
NYX Lippie Countdown Advent Calendar – £64.99
24 gorgeous mini lipsticks to keep you covered all through the party season. Ranging from their matte finish lipsticks to their chubby lip creams – you’re bound to love literally everything in this one.
Yankee Candle 2017 Advent Book – £34.99
Not a beauty calendar, but who cares. And yes, Yankee Candle are cruelty-free. I think may also be Vegan but don’t quote me on that. They use vegetable based waxes, with no paraffin wax used in any of their products (that’s the nasty petrol derived stuff).
They have a new scent in this one called “Spiced White Cocoa” and it sounds good enough to eat! “Warm and indulgent with swirls of cocoa topped with a layer of whipped cream and a hint of nutmeg”. I bet that smells ah-mazing.
Holland & Barrett have released their own beauty calendar for their loyal customers, which is currently marked down to £17.00 online and seems to be selling out FAST. So if you want one of these, your best bet is to get down to your local store.
You’ve got everything from facial clay’s to coconut spritz’s in this one! So why not treat yourself to the skin loving all natural goodness behind each door!
