lifestyle, personal December Goals 5th December 2017

I can’t quite believe that we’re in our final weeks of 2017 and it’s time for a goals review again! As typical as it is to say, it has just zoomed by and this month I’m sure will be no exception. Especially since I get married a couple of weeks – eek! I’m going to be an actual Mrs. That’s going to take some getting used to 😅.

Anyway – a quick reflection on November and to sum it up, it was manic and stressful. But not in the same way as October, so that’s an improvement. But did I achieve what I set out too for the month..? You can check those out here [ here ] but lets find out shall we:

The Wedding

Smashed this out of the park. I managed to cram 5 months worth of planning and prep into 30 short days and I am so proud of myself. You literally have no idea. I am THE LAST person on Earth I would ever expect to cope with this kind of pressure.. but it turns out, I’m a magician and far more capable than I ever gave myself credit for. So I learned a lot about myself out of it and it’s a lesson I’ll carry with me whenever I doubt myself or waiver in my capabilities.. because dammit I am actually a total legend. It’s going to be beautiful, fun and if I hear a peep of complaint from anyone, they are getting slapped in the face with a beautifully decorated chair.

Boss My New Account

I’d say I’ve done pretty well. It’s harder than I anticipated, but I’ve have a few great coaching sessions and can see steady improvements. I’ve had some really lovely feedback from customers and with practice and time my CPH (contacts per hour) will shoot up, especially now as it’s getting busy! So I’m optimistic.

Lose Weight

I’ve lost a little. But I’m past the point of caring now. I’ve had more important things to worry about and the stress has probably been quite helpful (silver linings and all that). My sister said that she’s noticed I look slimmer which gave me a big happy boost.. but I haven’t actually weighed myself to find out for sure. I’ve made a conscious effort to avoid them like the plague. They’ll only disappoint me and as long as I feel better about how I look, then that’s all that matters. The placebo effect is far better for your self esteem than the numerous on a cruel device.

Stay Positive

I think I’ve been pretty successful with this one. There have been no further tears, no meltdowns.. I’ve held it together and I remained positive about everything. Nothing has tripped me up and if it has tried, I’ve stepped over the hurdle and resolved it rationally.

Christmas

Hahaha! No. I think I’ve bought one present. Maybe 2. I am absolutely not prepared in the slightest, but I know who I need to buy for and what I’m going to buy them so at least I’m not completely disorganised. But let’s be honest people, who is EVER prepared for Christmas. No-one. Except for my Mum.. she bought he Secret Santa and most of her presents back in April. We mocked her at the time but whose laughing now? It’s not us that’s for sure!

Not too shabby! I’d say I was pretty successful and I’m please with my accomplishments. I really like doing these kinds of posts because they force me to reflect and even when you think everything has gone completely tits up, you can give yourself a little victory when you achieve one, if not all of your goals!

So what plans do I have for December? Well..

Unwind and relax – I’ve had a very stressful couple of months, so this time around I’m going to make the effort to relax. I want to enjoy what’s left of this year and put everything that doesn’t require the space in my brain in a box and burn it. It will give me the chance to enter the New Year on a positive note rather than trying to leave all the negative behind me.

Make £150 From My Blog – A few months ago this would have been a long shot and not at all something I would have considered achievable but I’ve seen steady traffic coming to my blog and I actually made around £95 last month from advertising alone! This is incredibly exciting and given our current circumstances at the moment the extra cash is far more helpful than anyone can realise. So if I can beat my earnings for November I’ll be over the moon. Seeing your hard work pay off on something you really enjoy doing is really fulfilling. Who’d have thought it!

Say “I Do” Without Throwing Up – I get married in 17 days and I HATE being the center of attention. The introvert in me gets nervous and even though I’ll be reciting simple words, I’m terrified I’ll screw them up. I imagine this is the part that most couples get scared about because everyone is listening so intently to you. Plus there’s cameras and officials and all kinds of people standing and staring. I was so nervous at the registrar interview because I felt like I was being interrogated! All they were doing was asking me questions to make sure I knew who I was marrying. So I want to say “I do” and get that all out of the way as soon as possible so we can both enjoy the rest of our day!

Do A 2018 Tarot Reading – I’ve been drawn to Tarot and other similar practices for quite some time now. If I find some kind of positive affirmation and guidance through it. Besides, whenever I ask my current tarot deck for advice it’s usually pretty spot on when I reflect back. This could be placebo, could be the cosmos speaking to me. Who knows? Who cares? It’ll be interesting to do one at the very start of the year on the New Moon and reflect on it to see how accurate it was.

Enrol In An Online Course – I don’t mind what it is. You’re never too old to learn new things and it’s nice to have a new skill. Chances are it will be some sort of photography course. I’d really like to improve my current abilities and use a lot more of my own photography on the blog. Some improve by simply playing with their cameras but I would prefer to understand the mechanics at the same time.

How was your November? Are you prepared for Christmas, and what are your December goals! Let me know in the comments below ♡
