July Goals

Hello, July!
Month 6 of 12… where does the time go?!

Anyway, I only had one goal for June, and that was to try and shift my perspective into a more positive place. I wanted to better appreciate what I have, and not focus so much on what I don’t. I’ve spent a lot of time being stressed out about things I can’t control. So it was important for me to put myself into a better headspace. This seems like a really simple thing to do but it was much harder than I anticipated, purely for the fact that you have to check yourself constantly.

I worked really hard on it and tried to put out good intentions to the universe, and it ended up being a good month. We finally received good news on things we had been waiting on for some time and the relief that came with it launched me into a much better place. So yey for that, and I don’t intend to get off the positive train for a while yet!
So what are my plans for July…?

Finish My Photography Course

I started this in April, so it’s about time I actually do something with it and pull my finger out. There really is no excuse now. I have my part-time hours back and I’m a lot more flexible than I have been. So that’s on my list!

Reach 2000 Followers on Twitter

I’m getting close. I think I’m sat on the 1700 mark as of now. It would be nice to hit that milestone but I won’t be too upset if I don’t! We’ll see what happens. If you want to be a gem and help a girl out, you can follow me here: @laurahasablog.

Stay on top of my Schedule

Blog schedule that is, I don’t really have a social life. I have a habit of just doing it when I feel like it and I’d like to have some kind of routine. It will be interesting to see if it makes me more or less productive!

Tidy/Organise my House

You know when you put things off and they all start to pile up and then the task seems monumental when it could have been much simpler? Yeah, that’s what happened. I feel like my house is a hole and it’s stressing me out unnecessarily. Got to fix that!

Eat Better

This might as well take permanent residence on my goals for each month because I always slide back into eating like crap. I’ve well and truly fallen off the wagon and need to flip that on its head. If I can get into it as a habit I won’t find figuring out what to have for lunch and dinner so difficult!

We’re 6 days into the month already and I’m feeling pretty good. I had a banana, strawberry, celery and super seed mix smoothie for breakfast, I’ve finished another blog post and got a little list of things to do to make my cleaning test less daunting. So we’re off to a good start!

Have you set yourself any goals for July? I’d love to hear them.

Until next time ♡

  1. Those are some good goals 😉 I always say I need to eat better but healthy good never tastes nice 😂

  2. I love hearing people’s goals on in a blogpost, and these are some great ones! I’m sure you’ll reach 2000 Twitter followers really soon 🙂 I definitely need to start eating better soon, I’ve been having way too many takeaways recently!

  3. Oooh good luck with your Twitter growth! I’m sure it won’t be long until you get there. I find Instagram much more hard to suss out in that respect… I am also guilty of saying I’ll eat better and then before I know it I’m sat on my bed at midnight with chocolate spread and a spoon but hey, give yourself a break life is hard. With the house thing, make a list of what needs to be done task by task and cross them off gradually in slots where you can get them done so that way you can turn it into smaller tasks so it isn’t so daunting!

    • That’s my plan. Little lists, tick them off one by one and don’t expect myself to get it all done in a day. I have a habit of deciding if something needs to be done, it has to be right then and there! So unnecessary lol.

I really struggle with Twitter! Maybe because I’m not that active/interesting on there. But instagram is all about engaging with others. I’d be happy to share some tips with you if you ever need them! xx

  4. Great post. This has really inspired me to create my own monthly goals post. I always have a few ideas in my head on goals I want to achieve for the month, but I never really write them down. It’s great doing a monthly post and then having it to look back on.
I really want to try and eat better. I’ve been eating a bit too much chocolate recently. I also want to try and cook more homemade meals too.

  5. That is my biggest goal for July… get my blog on a schedule. I’ve been flying by the seat of my pant and just writing when I feel like it for the last two months. I started one at the end of June. So far so good and I’m releasing on schedule. Let’s see how this goes. Great inspiration.

  6. Hi Laura, I am a fellow BGB! Loved July goals post! I did follow you on twitter, so I could help you make that 2,000 follower mark! You can do it! Wonderful blog! I would appreciate a Fb on Twitter!

  7. Well done on achieving your June goal and it was definitely a really important goal. You have a good selection of goals for July, I’m with you for the Twitter growth, healthy eating, and blog scheduling. I thought it would be easier to eat better in the summer but it wasn’t the case this year, and that smoothie sounds amazing! I love making smoothies. My favourite is banana, spinach, almond milk and peanut butter. Yum! I’m trying to stick to my blog schedule this month, and so far so good! Loving the content you’ve been putting out recently. Good luck with your goals, you’ll ace them!

  8. These are all super achievable goals! I hope you’re getting on okay with them now we’re halfway through July! I didn’t set myself any goals this month, I’m just going with the flow! <3
