The PIP Box – June

June’s PIP box has a “prep me for summer theme” and is filled with 6 staple items to carry you through the warmer months and keep you looking and feeling your best. I’ve been really enjoying trying these out and have developed some firm favourites from some of them. So without further a-do.. here’s what we have.

Tisserand Energy Mist (RRP £8.95)
Arbonne Mini Hair Mask & Mascara (Mask RRP £34.00, Mascara £31.00)
Saturated Colour SheerStick in Fresh Rose (RRP £7.00)
Mini Bloomtown Sugar Scrub, Hedgerow (RRP £5.00)
Native Unearthed Deodorant Balm, Lavender (RRP £6.99)

I don’t know a great deal about aromatherapy but I suffer from fatigue and tiredness quite a lot, so anything that is supposed to help is welcomed by me and I’m more than happy to try it out!
It claims to give your energy levels a boost and can be sprayed on your body or around the room as a morning or pre-night pick me up. You’ll be greeted with an amazing blend of Coriander, Lime & Orange Leaf that will stay with you once the mist settles.

I think this smells amazing and have used it several times, I did find it helped when I start to lag a little later in the day.

Not gonna lie, I haven’t touched the hair masque yet. But the hair mask is supposed to help bring back moisture destroyed during colour treatments which is good for me as I do colour my hair. So it’ll be nice to see if this does help to bring back moisture and lustre.

The mascara has a lot to contend with given that my new favourite is the PHB Natural Mascara that I received in a previous box, but it hasn’t let me down.
It has one of those brushes that get right between the lashes so it lengthens and coats each one and is infused with pea and bamboo extract, and skin conditioning amino acids to look after your lids during the day. I do really like this… it’s nice to have in my bag as a top up if I feel I need to during the day but I’m not sure I’d spend £31.00 on a full-sized bottle.

This has definitely become a favourite of mine! The colour is subtle and a really beautiful nude shade. My dog recently ate my only lip balm and as this is infused with Vitamin E, Jojoba Oil and a menthol flavour, it’s a happy alternative. Personally, I don’t think it tastes of menthol, doesn’t really taste of anything but that could just me be.

It comes in 8 different shades and all deliver a lightweight, glossy, nourishing shine for your lips, 100% cruelty-free and soothes and keeps my lips soft and moisturised throughout the day.

I can’t say that they’re long lasting but no lipstick really is unless it’s a matte liquid lip. But they’re so subtle you can apply over and over again without needing a mirror to touch up. This had taken up permanent residence in my bag and I will definitely be buying this again when I’ve run out.

For a mini pot, it’s quite a good size. I loooove a sugar scrub and I’m not going to lie, yes I did taste it. I don’t recommend that though.

It’s a completely natural scrub with a really nice fruity smell and is made with British grown sugar, shea butter, sweet almond and coconut oil amongst other skin loving and nourishing ingredients. Not a plastic micro-bead in sight! The scrub is also free from palm oil, animal products, wheat, sulfates, SLSs, parabens, synthetic colours and detergents it leaves your skins AMAZINGLY soft, supple and moisturised. Unlike other scrubs, you really don’t need to apply a moisturiser after washing this off and your skin isn’t left greasy or tacky.

They’re so confident with their scrub that if you don’t agree that it’s the best in the world within 5 days, they’ll give you a full refund.

Hailed on their website as a “natural pot of goodness and designed to keep you fresh on your most demanding days”. I was excited to give this a try but was a little apprehensive as natural deodorants can be a bit hit and miss. But anything without loads of chemicals is going to be kinder to your skin so I had hopes for it.

This smells gorgeous and is such a soothing scent with a blend of coconut oil (the worlds new favourite thing), lavender sprigs, shea butter and sage leaves. It’s got a nice non-greasy consistency and you just rub a pea-sized amount between your fingers. The weather has been really warm the last few weeks and I’ve been melting just from walking down the stairs, so the conditions to try it in have been pretty good.

I was really happy with this. There wasn’t any dampness during the day, it smelt fresh and didn’t need any top-ups. So this gets a thumbs up from me because deodorants are some of the hardest things to get right.

So there we go ladies and gents, that was this months PIP box in a nutshell! Hope you enjoyed.

  1. Definitely will be trying out the hair mask! I get my hair dyed and it’s already really dry at the ends so fingers crossed that this helps!
